About Me

Hi! My name is Isabella Bourtin, and I am an 12th grader at Heritage High School in Fredericksburg, Texas. I am the oldest child in a family of five; my two younger brothers are Banks, 14, and John, 10. I enjoy reading and living an active, healthy lifestyle. After high school, I will attend college and then attain my doctorate. I would like to eventually specialize in cardiothoracic surgery.

Why I made this site

I had the idea to make this website while I was on my family’s annual trip to Teton County in Wyoming. While I was keeping an eye on the active COVID cases there, I found the COVID website for Teton County, which was solely devoted to COVID and information pertaining to it. It was a super easy and convenient way to find information about COVID, so I wanted to make a website similar to it for Gillespie County.

This website is not only a website for the medical/informative side of COVID-19, it is also somewhere where we, as a community, can grow and work together during this difficult time. That is why I created the blog; it is a place where everyone can share their experiences and share tips on adapting to this new world we live in. The blog is a place for everyone in the community to share, so please, please email me with contributions!
